Flexotrap has signed an agreement with Camp Ånn, a training platform under the Swedish Defense Education Association, for the delivery of eco-friendly bullet traps and shielding that can be used year-round, even under harsh winter conditions. The shooting range accommodates up to 24 shooters and meets civilian requirements according to Swedish Firearms Safety Regulations (SäkB) as well as the regulations of the Swedish Armed Forces and the Fortifications Agency for training facilities.
“This deal is an important cog in Flexotrap’s efforts to help the Armed Forces and other weapon-bearing authorities train more shooters more often. Additionally, this delivery takes place in a subarctic environment, which we know is a sought-after training environment internationally,” says Elias Mibesjö, CEO of Flexotrap.
The new shooting range includes an eco-friendly bullet trap with shielding that prevents lead and metal from reaching the ground and groundwater, eliminating the need for cleaning and restoration. The shooting range allows shooting at angles up to 67 degrees laterally and shooting at distances up to 300 meters. The deployable design enables the shooting range to be moved in standard format and regrouped, and it is fully operational down to -40 degrees Celsius.
“The deal allows us to develop our winter offering while meeting current and future environmental requirements. We already have booking inquiries for winter shooting from authorities and will work to gradually increase the occupancy rate,” says Ulf Olofsson, CEO of Camp Ånn.
The delivery is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024.
